Touring A Cosy Scandi 1,345 Sqft Apartment In Gardenvista

Touring A Cosy Scandi 1,345 Sqft Apartment In Gardenvista

Hey, it's Juliana from Stacked. So today we're in Dunearn Road and we're gonna be taking a look at a 4-bedroom apartment in a leasehold development here called Gardenvista. The homeowners are a family of four. We've got a couple with their two kids and they've done well in balancing aesthetics with functionality, ensuring that the space works for every single member of their family. So let's head right in and begin this tour.

If you love home and decor just like us, visit Stacked Store now to refresh your home. Just a quick background about this home. This is a 4-bedroom apartment that has been converted into three bedrooms and it's 1,345 square feet in size. It also comes with two baths and a private lift that takes you directly up to the unit. So the homeowners moved in back in December 2022 and together with their interior designer Build Built done a decent amount of renovation to transform the space into what it is today.

But okay, enough of that, let us start off at the private lift landing. So as you step out of the lift, you'll be greeted by this private entryway, which acts as an intermediary space before you enter or exit the apartment.

Here you get a glimpse of the different colours, materials, and textures that are used, which you'll see in the rest of this home. We are surrounded by full-height shoe cabinets that are done up in shaker style and in the corner, you even have a little seating nook, which you can use to put on your shoes. But now let us head in to check out the main areas of this home.

Through the main entrance door, it opens up into this brightly lit living room. So it's generous in size and the use of furnishings in earthy and neutral tones really help to make the space feel more warm and welcoming. Here we have a large 4 to 6 seater L-shaped sofa with a good amount of distance to the TV console. And I can also imagine an armchair or two fitting in here just fine if you do need additional seating options. This living room receives a good amount of natural light and this is due to the full-height windows.

So this home overlooks the inner side of the development and you do get a good view of the swimming pool, as well as the landscaping all around.

One other theme that you noticed throughout this home will be the curved corner detailing in the ceiling and the walls. This does help to visually soften the space. Moving further into the home is the dining room. So here we have a six seater dining set along with Rattan pendant lights that help to softly illuminate this space.

Forming the backdrop of the dining is the dry pantry. So once again, you do see the striped wallpaper, as well as the shaker style cabinets that was introduced early on in the entryway.

We've got a decent amount of open shelving all around for the homeowners to display their decor items and this does help to add character into the room. So all in all, I do really like the design of this dining. I can see this being the heart of the home where the family spends a lot of their time at.

Through the glass pocket door, you have the wet kitchen.

So here you'll find an L-shaped layout kitchen with the fridge relocated outside to cater for more cabinet and shelving space to store additional appliances. This is is a pretty good sized kitchen. The family cooks fairly often so they've opted for a four burner gas cooktop. There's also a large window over here which helps to keep the kitchen well ventilated at all times.

Separating the kitchen from the service yard is another glass pocket door. So through here, you'll be able to find a dedicated laundry area, a WC, a storage room, as well as a secondary doorway that leads you out to the service corridor.

Okay, now let's head back in to check out the bedroom. In this corner, we have the common bathroom with neutral finishing to match the rest of this home. And right across, we have the first bedroom.

So let's take a look. Okay, so this bedroom is currently occupied by the two daughters of the family. It's big enough to fit 2 extendable beds to be adjusted accordingly to the kids' height. And apart from the three panel wardrobe, this room is kept rather minimal. This is to accommodate to the evolving spatial needs of the daughters as they grow up.

Up next is the second common bedroom. So this acts as a multifunctional room for the family. It's a study, it's a library, it's a play area for the children as well as a home office for the parents. There's additional storage cabinets that's built around the window and this does help to keep the room nice and tidy. And the homeowners have also mentioned that when their daughters grow up, this will be converted into a proper bedroom so that each of them will have their own individual rooms.

The last room we'll be taking a look at is the master. So this is situated away from the two common bedrooms to give the homeowners a little bit more privacy. The room has been changed quite significantly from its previous layout. So let me take you through. This used to be the third bedroom and it's now a dedicated walk-in for the master.

We've got tonnes of storage space over here. Drawer cabinets right under the window, along with a five panel wardrobe. Definitely enough space for the occupants of this room.

And if that's not enough for you, tucked wave behind the bedroom door is another wardrobe for additional storage. Right beside it, you'll find a makeup vanity.

And moving further into the room is the sleeping area. So over here, we have a king sized bed with enough space on both sides for bedside tables along with a scone light. And once again, you will find a full-height window letting in a lot of natural light and you'll also get a good view of the trees and the swimming pool from the comfort of your bed.

And finally, the master bathroom. So one of the main changes that will be made to this room is the removal of an old bathtub, which frees up more space for a proper standing shower.

At the end of the room, we have a large window, which does let in natural light to help the space feel more spacious and airy. The bathroom is finished in textured grey tiles, and near the entrance, there is a white vanity, coupled with an arched mirror. We have now come to the end of this tour. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I did. If you'd like to find out more about this home or development, you can head on over to www.
